How can we help?

Most answers are below. If yours isn’t, email hello@rahmly.com and a person will reply, usually within two working days.

Rahmly isn’t out yet

It launches on iPhone on (Android later, insha’Allah). The answers below are how things will work at launch. Until then, join the waitlist or email hello@rahmly.com.

Before launch

Can I download Rahmly now? Not yet. Rahmly launches on iPhone on 25 January 2027, and there’s no version to download before then. Android is coming later, insha’Allah. Join the waitlist to hear when.

The waitlist. Join with your email and we’ll send one email when Rahmly launches, and one before Ramadan. Nothing else.

On launch day. Rahmly appears on the App Store and we email the waitlist. Setting up your family’s Plan is free; after that it’s $19 a year, starting with a 7-day free trial, or $49 once for lifetime access.

A question before then? Email hello@rahmly.com. We read every message.

Purchases and the free trial

Rahmly is bought through the App Store, so purchases, subscriptions and refunds go through your Apple ID.

Restore a purchase. Open the app and tap Restore on the paywall, or Restore purchases in Settings. Use the same Apple ID you bought with.

Cancel the free trial or the yearly plan. On iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Rahmly › Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least a day before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. Rahmly also reminds you two days before the trial ends.

Family Sharing. Both plans support Family Sharing. Family members tap Restore on the paywall on their own device.

Upgrading to Lifetime. Buying Lifetime doesn’t cancel a yearly subscription automatically. Cancel the yearly plan in Subscriptions as above.

Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

A new phone or a second device

On iPhone, Rahmly can keep your family’s data in your own private iCloud. Sign in with the same Apple ID and turn on iCloud for Rahmly (iOS Settings › your name › iCloud). Open the app, wait a moment while it checks iCloud, then tap Restore on the paywall.

Without iCloud, use Settings › Backup on the old phone to export an encrypted file, and import it on the new one. Keep the password safe: we can’t recover it.

Android. Rahmly launches on iPhone on 25 January 2027. Android is coming later, insha’Allah. Join the waitlist to hear when.

Child Mode

On Today, tap Hand to [name] (for children aged 4 to 12). To leave, press and hold the circle for three seconds, then answer the grown-up question. After three wrong answers there’s a short wait. Child Mode stays on if the app is closed, until a grown-up leaves it.

Tip: turn on Do Not Disturb or a Focus before handing over the phone, so other apps’ notifications don’t interrupt.

Prayer times and reminders

Prayer times are calculated on your phone. If they look off, check Settings › Prayer times: your location, the calculation method and the Asr time (Standard or Hanafi). If your masjid starts the Islamic month a day earlier or later, adjust Hijri date.

Reminders and prayer alerts are optional and can be turned off in Settings at any time.

Backups and deleting your data

Your family’s data is on your phone and, if you use it, in your own private iCloud. We don’t have a copy. To delete a child, open Children › Edit › Remove. To remove everything, delete the app; to also remove the iCloud copy, go to iOS Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Rahmly › Delete Data.

See the privacy policy for the full details.

Every Habit, Lesson and Milestone cites its sources, with the grade for each hadith. Content goes to a scholar and a child-development professional before it’s marked reviewed, and the app shows which content is still a draft. If you spot a mistake, please tell us: we’d be grateful.
