The app

A wise, warm elder in your pocket

Rahmly helps you raise your child on the sunnah, one small Habit at a time, from pregnancy to 18. Here is everything it does, and everything it deliberately doesn’t.

Why Rahmly

Muslim parents deserve better than a guilt machine

You want to do right by your child. But the advice is scattered across books, lectures and group chats, rarely says where it comes from, and almost never fits your child’s age or your family’s life.

The apps that exist either sell subscriptions to children’s video libraries, or turn the deen into chores with points and leaderboards. Rahmly is neither. It is a calm, sourced, adapted guide that works without an account, without the internet and without ads.

The Path

One Path, seven Stages, four kinds of guidance

Everything in Rahmly sits on a single, age-ordered Path. Your child’s Plan is their personal slice of it, filtered by their Stage and your family’s Context.

Habits

Recurring sunnah practices your child builds over time, like Bismillah before eating or the waking-up dua. Grouped around the prayer times.

Lessons

Short reads for you, absorbed once: how to correct without shaming, what to say when they ask about Allah. Five minutes each.

Milestones

One-off moments tied to an age or a date: aqiqah, first salah at seven, a first fast. With a gentle countdown and a checklist.

Check-ins

A record that a Habit was practised today, made by you or by your child in Child Mode. Progress only ever grows.

Honest labels

Evidence or Parenting Wisdom. Never a blur between them.

Every piece of guidance in Rahmly is one of two things, and the app always tells you which.

Evidence

A Qur’an verse or a hadith, with its reference and authenticity grade. For example: Sahih al-Bukhari 6324 · Sahih.

Parenting Wisdom

Good advice with no direct text behind it, labelled “Wisdom, not scripture” so it is never mistaken for sunnah.

Rahmly Lesson reader: Mercy and play, how the Prophet ﷺ was with children, with Evidence callouts quoting the hadith
Child Mode: Assalamu alaikum, Maryam! with her garden behind and two big buttons, My Habits and My Duas
Child Mode · ages 4–12

A garden the child tends, not a game to win

Tap “Hand to Maryam” and the phone becomes hers for a few minutes: her Habits as big picture cards, her duas, and a garden that grows with every Check-in. Seasons change with the Islamic months.

  • Tap targets made for small fingers; almost no reading needed at 4–6
  • From seven: “Did you pray Dhuhr?” with Yes and Not yet, never “missed”
  • No purchases, links, settings, notifications or sibling comparisons
  • Leaving needs a grown-up gate: hold for three seconds and solve a sum
  • No Child Mode for teens. At 13+, Rahmly helps you instead of watching them
Privacy by design

We built Rahmly so we couldn’t see your family, even if we wanted to

No account, no sign-in and no servers holding your data. Your children’s names, birthdays and Check-ins live in two places only.

Your phone

Everything is saved on the device first and works fully offline. Prayer times are calculated on the phone too.

Your own iCloud

On iPhone and iPad, Rahmly syncs to your private iCloud, so two devices on your Apple ID stay in step and a new phone restores itself. Android keeps data on the phone, with an encrypted backup file you control.

Our servers

There are none for your data. We never receive your family’s information, so there is nothing for us to lose, sell or hand over.

Authenticity rules

Religious text is never improvised

Trust is the whole product, so these rules are written into how Rahmly is built.

Sourced duas

Dua and verse text is taken from authenticated compilations such as Hisn al-Muslim, with its hadith reference and grade. Arabic is always live text, so it can be corrected.

No AI-generated religious text

Qur’an, hadith and dua text are never generated. Where AI helps elsewhere (for example a draft translation), a Reviewer approves it and the app labels it.

Two Reviewers

A scholar and a child-development professional review every Habit, Lesson and Milestone before it ships in the app. Corrections reach you as quiet content updates.

Sunni, madhhab-neutral

Where schools differ in a way that matters day to day, like the Asr time, you choose. For anything personal, Rahmly points you to a scholar you trust.
